I followed the guide from: www.pokemasters.net The Donkey Kong cart requires a CR1616 battery. It is a different battery than the Pokemon cartridge in the guide, but both the battery in the guide and the CR1616 are 3v so it should work as long as it fits. I recommend using a blade instead of pliers to remove the tabs, since pliers can break the tabs or bend them very easily.
